Muzaria is a brand-new vocal group from the South of England who are starting out on an exciting adventure. With positivity at it’s core and musical excellence it’s motivation, the future looks bright for this talented and driven ensemble. Members of the group have performed all over the world with multiple artists and in numerous venues.
Founded in 2017 by vocalist and composer Darren Bartlett whose vision is to reach new musical heights with this strong vocal line-up. Muzaria has evolved from the successful vocal harmony group SALVACOSTA; a group that achieved great success raising over £50,000 for numerous charities over their incredible 17 year run. They produced 4 albums and received many accolades including endorsements from BBC Radio, BBC Children in Need and awards from The National Choir of the Year competitions. How will the musical repertoire for MUZARIA differ from that of Darren’s previous group SALVACOSTA ? The musical arrangements will certainly evolve as the new ensemble develop their sound and musical style. The arrangements will be more complex in technical terms but more stripped back in other ways. For example the simplicity of 'Classical Piano sounds' as an accompaniment, perhaps the introduction of some stringed accompaniment to beautifully enhance the vocal sounds. The repertoire itself will be eclectic and draw its inspiration from popular music, musical theatre and film with the introduction of some American Folk songs; always with the emphasis on producing quality, captivating arrangements and stunning, enchanting vocals. We hope you will join us as we take our first step on this fascinating journey! THE MUZARIA NAME
The name selection is an interesting one; the original concept is that of MUSIC & ARIA joined together as one.
Aria, meaning melody or Air - so in essence, MUSIC-MELODY. In addition you may also be interested to know that Muzaria is also a species of moth. In the spiritual world, moths stand for change and transformation. In other words leaving all that is negative in the past, bringing all the positive lessons into the future which then allows for a metamorphosis into something beautiful. Muzaria - always driven towards the light! How perfect, a name with a double meaning... |
